Rabbit Advocates Spay and Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP)

Update on RA SNIP and Community Medical Fund

Due to lack of funding caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Rabbit Advocates will be temporarily suspending our SNIP and medical reimbursement programs starting April 1st, 2020. All receipts postmarked by March 31st, 2020 will be honored.

Rabbit Advocates believes that spaying or neutering your pet house rabbit is the single most important thing you can do to improve their health and extend their life. To promote this cause, we have developed a Spay and Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP) to provide reimbursement of up to $150 per rabbit spay, and up to $100 per rabbit neuter. Reimbursement will only be made upon receipt, WITHIN 60 CALENDAR DAYS, of a paid invoice from the veterinarian and will be made based on fund availability. Effective June 1, 2018 these SNIP funds are only available to Oregon residents of Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Columbia counties, and residents of Clark County Washington. Please contact SNIP@rabbitadvocates.org or call the RA Help Line at (503) 617-1625 for more details.

Rabbit Advocates may also be able to provide limited reimbursement for emergency veterinary expenses, for amounts of up to $250 per rabbit per calendar year. Reimbursement will only be made upon receipt, WITHIN 60 CALENDAR DAYS, of a paid invoice from the veterinarian and will be made based on fund availability. Effective June 1, 2018 this assistance is only available to Oregon residents of Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Columbia counties, and residents of Clark County Washington. For additional information about this fund, please contact our Medical Fund Committee at medical.fund@rabbitadvocates.org or call the RA Help Line at (503) 617-1625.
