We need your help packing hay!
Each hay volunteer gets 9 pounds of “helper elf hay” of their choice! Please email Rabbit Advocates Hay Manager Kris at kris.newmann@rabbitadvocates.org to let us know which shift you will be working. Kris can also be reached by cell phone (808) 778-0067 if you have any trouble finding us. How to help:
1. Pack hay:
Break up bales of timothy hay, orchard grass hay, alfalfa and oat hay and portion the hay out into boxes in 10 pound quantities. Seal, label and stack filled boxes.

2. Deliver packaged hay to sellers:
Transport 17 x 17 x 17 inch boxes of hay weighing approximately 10 pounds each from the warehouse in Hillsboro to home sellers and retail sellers
COVID-19 Precautions:
Masks are required for disease prevention and also dust protection.
Free surgical style masks are available if a volunteer does not bring their own.
Maintain six feet social distancing.
Shifts are limited to three hours.
Limit of six volunteers per shift.
Restroom is available on site for frequent hand washing.
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHDV2) Precautions:
Avoid wearing clothing or shoes that have been potentially contaminated through contact with areas occupied by wild cottontails, feral domestic rabbits, or predators.
Shoe covers are available.
